Blackmagic Fairlight Desktop Audio Editor
The Fairlight Desktop Audio Editor has been designed with more than twenty years of professional audio engineering expertise, with every element focused on unrivalled fluidity and efficiency. The high-resolution 12-inch LCD screen follows your movements by automatically switching between five layouts as you perform different tasks, allowing you to work naturally and see relevant information at a glance. The speed of operation is further enhanced by touch-sensitive rotary knobs, programmable macro keys, a numeric keypad, transport buttons, and a high-quality search function. In addition, the Fairlight Desktop Audio Editor features a custom keyboard with self-labelling image keys that change depending on what you're doing, enabling the editor to access virtually any function on the Fairlight page.
Integrated LCD screen
The Fairlight Desktop Audio Editor features a large high-resolution 12-inch LCD screen with soft keys and knobs. It serves as an interactive dashboard for audio editing with five different layouts, giving you a complete graphical interface for EQ, dynamics, plug-ins, and other tasks. The screen adapts automatically to display the information, tools, and controls you need for your current activity. This allows you to work quickly, as you don't need to reach for the mouse, look at the computer screen, or stop what you're doing. When you're adjusting an EQ, for example, you'll see the parametric equaliser curve on the screen. You can use the knobs to adjust the gain across different frequency ranges and see direct feedback as the curve changes.
EQ layout
The clip EQ layout gives you full control over the 4-band parametric equaliser parameters for the selected clip. This provides the same EQ controls as in the Inspector in DaVinci Resolve, along with clip EQ preset options.
