Bresser MikroCam II 20 MP 1" Microscope Camera
The Bresser MikroCam II 20 MP 1" Microscope Camera is the professional solution when it comes to microscopic imaging. This camera has a large 1" sensor (image area 13.6 x 8.8 mm); this is the largest sensor in the MikroCam camera range. With this camera, it is possible to document approximately the same field of view as can be seen through the eyepiece. Other models will only cover 50% or less of the field of view of the eyepiece. The Sony IMX183 CMOS sensor is highly sensitive and has extremely low image noise, making this camera particularly suitable for contrast methods such as darkfield or phase contrast.
The Bresser MikroCam Lab II software offers a variety of different functions, such as real-time metering (calibration preparation required), mosaïek image creation, focus stacking (for more depth of field Moreover, almost all automatic functions (exposure time, sensitivity, white balance, etc.) can also be set manually. Functions: Mozaïek and Focus-Stacking (EDF) can be generated directly from the live image. This can save a lot of time. Even if you are not a professional, you will quickly have great results. To fully use the mozaïek function, a microscope with cross-table is essential.
Because of its large sensor, the camera is not optimal for every microscope. This can potentially lead to vignetting. In most cases, this vignetting is remedied by using the 5914001 Bresser Variable 1x Reduction Lens which screws into the camera. This camera is not designed for the trinocular tube of the Bresser ETD-201. Only a small part of the field of view can be used with this microscope.
