  • Not all cameras support every function, such as the EOS R5 C; a firmware update may be required

Canon Speedlite EL-5 (Ver. 2)

Are you looking for a powerful flash for your Canon EOS camera with Multi-Function Shoe? The Canon Speedlite EL-5 (Ver. 2) helps you direct light purposefully. Ideal for more control over mood, direction and contrast. This flash suits portraits, reportage and events well. Also handy for indoor locations.

Compared to the previous model, the Ver. 2 offers a more stable connection and an improved transmission range of up to 50 metres. You also adjust the settings of each Speedlite wirelessly via the app, even in a multi-flash setup. With a power range from full-power to 1/1024, you work with maximum flexibility, from powerful key lighting to subtle fill lights.

The flash tilts up to 120 degrees upwards and rotates sideways, ideal for bouncing light off a ceiling or wall. With a fully charged LP-EL battery, under Canon's testing conditions, the flash recycles in approximately 0.1 to 1.2 seconds and delivers up to approximately 350 shots at full power. The LP-EL battery is specially developed for Canon Speedlites, with a capacity of 1920mAh.

Please note: use with compatible cameras featuring Canon's Multi-Function Shoe may require a firmware update, and not all functions are supported by all cameras (the EOS R5 C and video cameras with the Multi-Function Shoe, for example, are not supported).
