The Caruba Reverse Adapter Ring 52-52mm is designed to give you the ability to mount a second lens in reverse onto the original lens. This technique is used in macro photography to achieve high-quality macro images with high resolution and sharpness. Macro photography can be achieved by mounting a lens in reverse onto the standard-mounted lens. Simply screw this macro coupler adapter ring into the filter thread of both lenses.

The magnification factor is calculated by dividing the focal length of the normally mounted lens by the focal length of the reversed lens (for example, when an 18mm lens is mounted in reverse onto a 300mm lens, the reproduction ratio is 16:1). The use of autofocus is not recommended if the primary lens is not of the internal-focus type, as the additional weight of the reverse-mounted lens may cause damage to the autofocus mechanism. The working distance is considerably shorter than normal.
