Fotodiox Pro Shift / Stitch Adapter - Nikon Z-Mount Body to Large Format 4x5 with a Graflok Rear Standard
With the Fotodiox Pro Shift/Stitch Adapter, you can easily mount a Nikon Z camera on a 4x5 large format camera with a Graflok rear standard. Think of brands such as Cambo, Linhof, Calumet, Horseman, Omega, Toyo or Kodak.
The adapter positions your camera vertically and slides from left to right, letting you capture a larger part of the scene than possible with a single shot. By capturing multiple shots in a linear sequence, you can stitch them together afterwards with image editing software into one large, detailed megaimage. The sliding plate features ascending markings for precise positioning, and a tensioning screw keeps the plate firmly in place while shooting. Thanks to the correction options of your 4x5 camera, tilt, shift and swing, you get a level of compositional control that isn't possible with a regular camera.
Please note: for infinity focus, you need a lens of 120mm or longer. This adapter is primarily designed for larger studio cameras with enough room for tilt, shift and swing movements. Smaller, foldable cameras (such as the Graflex Speed Graphic) often don't have enough room due to their recessed rear standard. This is a manual adapter, so electronic lens functions such as autofocus, AE metering and image stabilisation don't work; you measure exposure manually or via your camera's stop-down (aperture priority) mode.
