Ilford Developer PQ Universal 5 litre is a liquid concentrate of dimezone/hydroquinone, suitable for developing all (resin-coated) RC and (fibre-based) FB black and white photographic papers in trays.

Ilford Developer PQ Universal 5 litre

PQ Universal is used at a dilution of 1:9. It is a clean developer to work with and has excellent keeping properties. This developer produces a slightly warm or neutral image tone on most paper types. In addition, PQ Universal can be used for developing ILFORD and some other technical films in dishes/trays.

It is also suitable for developing general sheet films in dishes/trays when a fast-acting, high-contrast developer is required and high enlargement is not needed. For film development, it is diluted at a ratio of 1:9 (high contrast) or 1:19 (image contrast).

PQ Universal is designed for use at ambient temperature, nominally 20 °C. Please note: PQ Universal is not recommended for processing standard 35mm and roll film formats, or for high-temperature or machine processing applications.
