The Kase Revolution Anti-Laser filter 77mm features a coating that prevents laser energy from passing directly or indirectly through a lens and damaging a camera's sensitive image sensor. This protective layer is ideal when photographing in environments where lasers may be present, such as concerts, theatre shows, bar scenes, parties and more.

Laser pointers generally have an output range of 1 to 5 milliwatts, while stage laser lighting can reach more than 10 watts and architectural laser lighting applications can contain 40 watts. Exposure to laser light can damage the image sensor or the sensor's coating, which may manifest as red, purple, or blue spots, or in extreme cases as vertical or horizontal streaks. This filter not only reduces the level of laser energy transmission, but also acts as a light pollution filter, reducing image discolouration caused by artificial light sources in the surrounding environment.

This filter is made from shockproof optical glass and features multicoating and weather-resistant coating. It is water- and oil-resistant, making it suitable for use in rugged environments and adverse weather conditions, yet easy to clean. The magnetic filter attaches directly to the 77mm magnetic adapter ring and can be removed just as quickly. The slim filter ring design is suitable for use with wide angle lenses without vignetting.
