Kodak Tri-X 400 - 35mm x 30.5m (bulk)
The Kodak Tri-X 400 is a fast, panchromatic black-and-white negative film with ISO 400. The film has a classic grain structure with high edge sharpness and high resolving power, for crisp detail and the recognizable Tri-X look.
Thanks to the wide exposure latitude, the tonality stays consistent, even in difficult light. This makes Tri-X 400 a go-to choice for low light, fast shutter speeds and shots with more depth of field, such as street photography, portraits and documentary. According to Kodak, you can underexpose the film by up to three stops if you have it push-processed.
This is a 30.5 meter (100 ft) bulk roll of 35mm film. You load the film yourself into empty 35mm cassettes, with a bulk loader or in the dark. This way you decide how many exposures go on each roll.
Develop Tri-X 400 in black-and-white chemistry, for example Kodak D-76, XTOL or HC-110, yourself or at a lab that develops black-and-white. The C-41 process for color film is not suitable. Kodak recommends storing unexposed film cool, preferably at 13 °C or below.
