The Laowa 15-24mm T8 Probe Zoom Direct View is a unique cine probe lens with which you film from tight, hard-to-reach angles. Thanks to the long, thin tube that is waterproof up to the marking, you even make shots partly submerged in liquid.

Laowa 15-24mm T8 Probe Zoom Direct View – Arri PL

The Laowa 15-24mm T8 Probe Zoom is a cinematographic probe lens with a strikingly long, narrow tube, designed to film in places a normal lens cannot reach. Thanks to this design, you bring subjects into view from very close by and from unusual perspectives, while the tube is waterproof up to the marking, so you can partly submerge it in liquid.

The lens is parfocal, which means your focus is maintained while you zoom from 15 to 24 mm. With a light intensity of T8, an aperture range up to T32 and a magnification factor of 1x to 1,6x, you combine a wide image with macro possibilities. The optical construction comprises 37 elements in 26 groups and delivers an angle of view of 84,1° to 110,5°.

The lens comes standard with an Arri PL mount, but with the optional bayonets you easily convert it to Canon EF and RF, Nikon Z, Sony FE or L-mount. Focusing is manual, with a follow focus pitch of 0.8 mod for use with cine accessories. This way you have full, precise control over your image on set.
