With a 12.1 megapixel High-Sensitivity MOS sensor and Venus Engine image processor, the FZ300 can capture up to 60fps with the electronic shutter, 12fps with the mechanical shutter, or 30fps using the unique 4K Photo Modes.

In low light, the camera benefits from a sensitive ISO of up to 6400. The 5-axis HYBRID OIS+ image stabilisation minimises camera shake during HD video recording. The 24x Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens covers a 25-600mm equivalent focal length and has a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture for consistent performance from wide-angle to super-telephoto. For composing images and adjusting settings, the camera is equipped with a large, tilting 3 inch 1.04m-dot LCD touchscreen.

The body design features an ergonomic handle for extra support when working with longer focal lengths, as well as dust- and splash-proof construction for shooting in bad weather.
