The Roland XS-1HD multi-format matrix switcher with HDMI i/o & 3 operation modes is a versatile and compact switcher with multi-screen output and video compositing. A multi-format matrix switcher with scalers supporting up to Full HD.

The XS-1HD is ideal for live event productions with diverse video signals. Each input features a high-quality scaler, enabling quick installation. At just the width of a 13-inch laptop, the XS-1HD allows real-time operation even in the most confined working environments.

The XS-1HD can switch video from up to four sources — such as cameras, computers, or media players — and freely assign them to LCD screens or projectors. A built-in scaler on each input ensures that position or zoom can be adjusted even when the incoming video signals are in different formats. Thanks to the built-in EDID emulator, the correct resolution is sent from computers to the switcher. You can instantly change what is displayed on a screen by recalling previously saved presets during an event or whenever the situation calls for it.

Matrix mode lets you switch to a total of four output destinations, such as a main screen, a secondary screen, a presenter monitor, and digital signage for general information. Switcher mode is useful when the operator needs traditional real-time switching capabilities with a multiview preview, PinP, key compositing, and transitions.

The XS-1HD is ideal for banquet halls, auditoriums, theatres, or e-learning studios that use multiple destinations to display video. Complex applications that would otherwise require the integration of video switchers, audio mixers, and control panels can now be realised with the XS-1HD alone. Because settings can be saved, even complex configurations can be recalled instantly. The RS-232 control port makes it straightforward to add a third-party control system to the XS-1HD.
