The MKE 600 from Sennheiser is a shotgun microphone designed specifically for use with a camcorder or video DSLR.

Sennheiser MKE 600 Microphone

The Sennheiser MKE 600 Microphone is the ideal microphone for cameras and camcorders. Even demanding conditions are no problem with this microphone. Thanks to the high directivity, the MKE 600 only picks up the sound from the direction in which the camera is focused on. Noise from the side and rear is effectively muted. In addition the Low Cut filter dampens the sound of the wind.

Since not all cameras and camcorders support phantom power, the Sennheiser MKE 600 also works on batteries. The battery power switch prevents the battery from being used unnecessarily.
