SmallRig 4946 Advanced Cage Kit for Canon C400
The SmallRig 4946 Advanced Cage Kit for Canon C400 is designed to provide filmmakers with a comprehensive set of features and versatile shooting solutions. This cage kit includes a top plate, double side plates, base plate, extension module for the original handle, V-mount plate kit, D-tap to 4-pin power cable, 15 mm double bar base, 15 mm double bars, sun hood, NATO rail for LCD monitor extension, C to C handle extension cable and handle lock button.
The kit's modular design (top plate, side plates and base plate) ensures seamless adaptation to different shooting scenarios. The cage kit features multiple built-in mounting interfaces such as 1/4"-20 threaded holes, ARRI location holes, 1/4"-20 location holes, 3/8"-16 threaded holes, double bar clamps, QD interfaces, NATO rails, cold shoe mounts, ARRI rosettes and more. Combined with the optional tripod (SmallRig ID 4463), it facilitates quick changes from landscape to portrait orientation. The kit can also attach the separately available QD shoulder strap (SmallRig ID 4118), providing convenient portability.
Attaching the 15 mm double rods (SmallRig ID 1053) allows you to use the wireless follow focus (SmallRig ID 3918), while the V-mount plate kit allows you to mount V-mount batteries (SmallRig ID 4292).
The extension module for the original handle not only improves palm support, but also provides additional mounting options on the upper handle to expand with optional accessories such as magic arms (SmallRig ID 3875, 3874), 15mm bar clamps (SmallRig ID 4171), monitors, audio receivers and more.
The V-mount plate kit includes a cheese-shaped back plate, an adjustable back plate and a V-mount battery mounting plate. The side adjustments of the adjustable back plate ensure compatibility with different battery sizes without impeding access to the INPUT, HDMI and headphone interfaces.
The bottom plate features a 15mm double bar base with an integrated groove for the ARRI bottom dovetail plate. In addition, the base plate features anti-deflection pins, a groove for ARRI dovetail plates, a 1/4"-20 threaded hole and a 3/8"-16 threaded hole, ensuring compatibility with standard ARRI dovetail plates, ARRI BP-8 19mm bridge plates and more.
The kit includes an LCD sunshade to block excess light, ensuring a clear screen image in bright conditions, along with a 17mm NATO rail to extend the LCD monitor, allowing comfortable screen adjustments in shoulder-mount or tripod configurations.
In addition, the original handgrip control extension cable connects the original handgrip to the camera, allowing operation via the handgrip in combination with a monitor or tripod.
