SmallRig 5587 Cage for Sony FX2
The SmallRig 5587 Cage for Sony FX2 is expertly designed to provide comprehensive protection and extensive attachment options for the Sony FX2. Precise cutouts ensure the camera's tilting electronic viewfinder (EVF), buttons and ports remain fully accessible.
The removable top plate features a NATO rail, suitable for Sony's separately available XLR handle or SmallRig's rotating handle (SmallRig ID 4152) without interfering with the electronic viewfinder. The cage features multiple mounting points, including 1/4"-20 threaded holes, 3/8"-16 ARRI mounting holes and a "HawkLock" NATO rail for quick attachment of optional accessories such as side handles (SmallRig ID 4485) and top handles (SmallRig ID 4483). A coldshoe attachment allows attachment of devices such as the DJI Mic 2 or LED lights, while a QD connector at the bottom accommodates shoulder straps for extra portability. The base is also equipped with a magnetic Allen key, allowing quick assembly and disassembly.
The bottom quick-release plate, combined with the "HawkLock" H38 Arca-Swiss quick-release plate (SmallRig ID 4486), provides a quick slide-in attachment with an automatic locking mechanism. The Arca-Swiss quick release plate also allows seamless transitions between handheld, tripod and gimbal setups (compatible with DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro stabilisers). In addition, an included HDMI cable clip ensures stable data transfer.
