The SmallRig 5801 Cage Kit for Sony FX6 is specially designed for vertical filming with the Sony FX6, offering superior ergonomics and smooth operation. The side plate features a mounting point for an optional handle at the top, which improves stability during vertical low-angle shots and increases carrying comfort. The included adapter lets you relocate the original handle to the side of the camera for vertical use, while retaining full access to the controls. For extended shoots, the kit includes a V-mount battery plate and a power cable, enabling uninterrupted power with compatible V-mount batteries.

The cage features multiple mounting points, including 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes, 1/4"-20 positioning holes, ARRI 3/8"-16 positioning holes, and a HawkLock quick-release rail for NATO mounting. This allows direct attachment of a wide range of optional accessories, such as side handles (SmallRig ID 4015, 5633), monitor mounts (SmallRig ID 2903B), tripods (SmallRig ID 3989), magic arms (SmallRig ID 3873), and top handles (SmallRig ID 5632). It also features a built-in cold shoe mount for attaching microphones or lights, and an integrated hex key at the base for easy assembly and disassembly.
