The SmallRig 5953 "HawkLock" Quick Release Half Cage for Canon EOS R6 Mark III / R6 Mark II / R5 Mark II offers robust protection and extensive mounting options for professional photography. The cage attaches securely to the camera via a 1/4"-20 screw on the bottom, a positioning pin and a positioning block on the side. Multiple silicone pads prevent scratches and ensure a snug fit. The cage retains full access to the buttons, memory card slots, tilting screen and battery compartment.
With SmallRig's patented "HawkLock" quick-release system, the cage supports a self-locking function with a single press of a button and bidirectional mounting, allowing accessories to be mounted and removed quickly and without tools, with no further tightening required.
H21 NATO rail interfaces on the top and both sides enable quick attachment of top handles (SmallRig ID 5632, 5633, 4483, 4485, 3766), monitor mounts (SmallRig ID 4487) or magic arms (SmallRig ID 4489). Multiple 1/4"-20 screw holes and positioning holes accommodate accessories such as side handles (SmallRig ID 2093, 4346) and magic arms (SmallRig ID 4489, 3874, 3875) and monitor mounts (SmallRig ID 2904B). A built-in cold shoe mount accommodates microphones and fill lights, while a wrist strap eyelet is compatible with wrist straps (SmallRig ID 3848, 2456). A dedicated shoulder strap eyelet keeps the camera lens pointing downwards while carrying, for added security. A QD connector is compatible with QD quick-release shoulder straps (SmallRig ID 4118).
In addition, the Arca-Swiss quick-release plate on the bottom allows direct mounting on Arca-type tripods (SmallRig ID 4060, 4353) and DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Mini, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, RS 4 Mini and RS 4 Pro gimbals, enabling seamless switching between handheld, tripod and gimbal shooting. A double-sided key is conveniently stored on the bottom for easy mounting.
