The Sony Electret Condenser short shotgun microphone, super-cardioid (ECM-673) offers an excellent sensitivity of -36 dB (0 dB = 1 V/Pa) and a low self-noise level of less than 17 dB SPL. As a result, the microphone also enables clear voice recordings, even in noisy environments.

The ECM-673 microphone is characterised by a flat and wide frequency range (40 Hz to 20 kHz), ensuring interference-free, natural sound reproduction. The ECM-673 short shotgun microphone is designed to be highly directional, compact and lightweight. Only 200 mm long and weighing 135 grams, it always ensures optimum balance, even when connected to compact camcorders.

The ECM-673's vibration-resistant mechanism offers high durability and reliability, making it suitable for harsh conditions that can occur during sound recording in the field. The integrated low-cut filter (two modes: M, V) makes it easy to suppress unwanted ambient noise.
