Panasonic Lumix DC-S5II body
The Panasonic Lumix DC-S5II is an addition to the popular LUMIX S series. The mirrorless camera has incredible photo and video performance in an attractive, compact design. The S5II has a 24-megapixel 35mm full frame CMOS sensor that lets in a lot of light and provides razor-sharp images. The sensor combined with the advanced image processor ensures excellent image quality for both still and video recording.
Reliable autofocus and stabilisation
The updated image sensor supports, for the first time in the LUMIX line, hybrid phase-detection autofocus. The hybrid autofocus system combines phase detection with contrast detection for fast and reliable focusing. The new system can easily recognise subjects even in challenging conditions such as when there is low light. When the focus is fixed, it continues to follow the subject across the screen. Continuous autofocus is also available when zooming in, as are AF micro adjustments.
The LUMIX S5II has significantly improved image stabilisation so you can take stable, strong shots even when handheld. Active image stabilisation comes in very handy in challenging conditions such as when using a telephoto lens or when filming while walking. Active image stabilisation also ensures highly stable videos by optimising horizontal, vertical and rotation correction.
Exceptional video performance
The mirrorless camera has exceptional video performance similar to the LUMIX S1H. So you film in 4:2:0 10-bit 6K (3:2) and 5.9K (16:9) in 30fps and 4:2:2 C4K/4K in 60fps. You easily record in High Frame Rate at up to 120fps and in slow motion at up to 180fps. You can use different colour profiles such as 14+ stop V-log and V-Gamut. The support for a REAL TIME LUT function allows you to upload colour-correction LUTs to an SD card and add them directly on camera instead of during post-processing. For professional videographers, features such as Waveform Monitor, Vector Scope and Zebra Pattern have been added. Features such as System Frequency (24.00Hz) and Synchro Scan also make this camera suitable for professional use.
Excellent photos with minimal workflow
The camera has several options that give you excellent photos with minimal workflow. Features such as AWB lock, MF assist and a new Live Crop function provide a highly refined shooting experience. An HDMI type-A and USB 3.2 gen 2 jack provide extensive connectivity options. Thanks to WiFi 5GHz, you can also connect to smartphones and tablets wirelessly quickly and stably. Dual UHS-II memory card slots ensure you always have enough space.
Panasonic Lumix S 70-300 mm f/4.5-5.6 MACRO OIS (S-R70300)
The Panasonic Lumix S 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 MACRO OIS is a versatile telephoto zoom lens that delivers impressive image quality from edge to edge, for both stills and video. The lens features fast and accurate autofocus and Dual IS image stabilisation, so you can use it in many situations. Made for the L-mount system, the Lumix S 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 MACRO OIS features an advanced optical construction with 17 lens elements in 11 groups. A UED (Ultra Extra-low Dispersion) lens, two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lenses and a UHR (Ultra-High Refractive Index) lens reduce both axial chromatic aberration in telephoto mode, and chromatic aberration in wide-angle mode. With a minimum focusing distance of 0.54 m, this lens achieves a maximum magnification of 0.5x, allowing you to shoot macro photos and videos up to 50% compared to actual size. In addition, the 11-blade aperture provides a nice, round bokeh.
The Lumix S 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 MACRO OIS is also suitable for video recording thanks to a mechanism that minimises focus breathing and suppresses focus shift while zooming. This means your subject always stays in focus. Despite its large range, it is nonetheless compact and lightweight, and also resistant to dust, splash water and temperatures down to 10 degrees below zero. The front element has a fluorine coating that repels water and dust, and the filter diameter is 77 mm.
